Edible Monterey Bay lost a beloved friend and long-term team member when Laura Hubrich, who was our bookkeeper until she was diagnosed with metastasized breast cancer in February, passed away early on Sunday.
Even before joining Edible Monterey Bay, Laura became known in the local food community as a marketing manager with Earthbound Farm. But Laura was known best to our staff and our customers for her incredibly positive attitude, great sense of humor, incandescent smile and extremely generous spirit.
We are heartbroken and miss her greatly. Due to her husband’s own health condition, Laura had recently been supporting them and their two teenage children, so friends have set up a crowdfunding campaign to share her story and help support the family through the time of Laura’s illness and now, their grief.
