SF Chef for Casanova and La Bicyclette

imagejpeg_266044de5e442March 11, 2014 – San Francisco born and bred David Baron aims to bring a little bit of “The City” to Carmel as the new executive chef of Casanova and La Bicyclette.

Baron helped out at both restaurants back in 2009. Since then he’s moved up the ladder, with stints at Incanto, the two Michelin star La Bouitte in France, and as sous chef with Daniel Patterson at Coi, then Plum in Oakland.

“My style is very natural. Simple, but done well. I try to not over complicate things,” Baron said. “I’m really excited to make Casanova and Bicyclette more like the places I know in San Francisco.” Baron and Klaus Georis, the son of Casanova owner Walter Georis, cooked for the sumptuous “Can I Live” pop up dinner series. He lives in Carmel with his wife Maggie, one young son and another on the way.
