Sand City’s Indy Market is all set to make rejuvenating your body and soul a blast on Thursday Jan. 3 when it presents its “New Years Revolution.”
Lucky attendees at this month’s installment of the popular monthly food and art happening will get to take advantage of dance, massage, yoga, sustainable goods and a display of environmentally-friendly cars in addition Indy’s usual menu of invigorating live music, tasty wines and beers, intriguing art and healthy and delicious local food.
Early birds who arrive between 4:00 and 5:00 pm and children under 16 attend free; everyone else arriving before close at 9:00 pays $5 for the night and receives a “green penny” redeemable for deals from participating vendors. Big Sur’s Esalen Institute will be the non-profit beneficiary and will offer massage, dance, a one-hour yoga class and other body work in the Independent Gallery.
Lonely Mountain will be among the farmers offering fresh-picked produce; Carmel Valley Ranch’s tacos and India Gourmet’s curries and dosas will be among the prepared foods. The Drink Mixtress will serve up her celebrated concoctions, while Caraccioli Cellars will return with its bubbly and Mesa del Sol, its Chardonnay.
The Kids’ Corner will feature plant-rubbing crafts, thanks to the Lyceum of Monterey, the Monterey Museum of Art and Esalen’s Gazebo Park School.
