March 1, 2016 – Popular brewmaster Kevin Clark of Peter Bs in Monterey is heading east to open his own brewery on the banks of the Mississippi River. He will be a partner and head brewer at Urban Moose Brewing Company in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota.
“It’s a whole different adventure,” says Clark, whose wife has family in Minnesota. “It’s kind of bittersweet. I’ve really enjoyed being part of Peter Bs and Monterey is a gorgeous area, but Minnesota is also beautiful. It’s cold, but there are lots of things to do.”
On a recent trip to check progress on the new brewery, Clark says he enjoyed ice fishing and is planning to live on a lake.
His last day at Peter Bs will be March 25. In the meantime, he’s brewing up new batches of his speciality beers like Hefeweizen and Citrus IPA to leave behind.
