A sunny selection of refreshing treats made in the Monterey Bay area

The Carmel Valley Athletic Club is a hidden gem where fitness, leisure and community come together in a stunning natural setting. Members enjoy access to newly expanded pickleball courts and expert-led lessons, plus the soothing serenity of the Refuge spa right next door. At the center of it all is Woody’s at CVAC, a welcoming new space led by renowned chef Tim Wood, offering seasonal fare and warm hospitality—even to non-members. It was the perfect setting for our Summer Seasonal Table.

About the author
At Edible Monterey Bay, our mission is to celebrate the local food culture of Santa Cruz, San Benito and Monterey Counties, season by season. We believe in sustainability, and we believe everyone has a right to healthful, clean and affordable food. We think knowing where our food comes from is powerful, and we hope our magazine, website and newsletters inspire readers to get to know and support our local growers, fishers, chefs, vintners and food artisans.
