March 20, 2020 – All small businesses are feeling the pain of government orders to stay at home. Wine tasting rooms, like bars, are the center of social activity for many and the fact that they can no longer be open for tasting is causing a major disruption to the fragile economics of wineries all over. Now, more than ever, we need wine to bring us together, even if virtually. So, take advantage of these great offers from your local tasting rooms and post what you’re drinking on social media! We want to see how creative you are getting in lockdown.
Major takeaways: go online and place an order, email the winery or call. Many wine tasting rooms will be open this weekend for bottle sales and order pickup, and most offering curbside pickup so you don’t have to get out of your car. Others are offering free shipping on minimum bottle purchases. Whatever you do, keep yourself sanitized inside and out: wine has been helping people stay healthy for millennia!
